Podere Giardino - Taverna Grande


Podere Giardino is an old Tuscan country house recently converted into beautiful traditional but comfortable holiday apartments. Each apartment (5 in total) is situated either in the main house or in nearby garden buildings. The grounds of Podere Giardino are well-cared for and offer lots of opportunities for walking and there is also a small farm with its own donkey within the extensive grounds. Various terraces and the garden around the large swimming pool offers opportunity for relaxation and there is also a small pool with hydro-massage. Two restaurants are within 5 mins drive and the larger medieval village of Loro Ciuffena with shops and restaurants is within 10 mins drive. Also within 15 mins drive is Montevarchi and the motorway which offers quick access to both Florence and Arezzo. Just a bit further is Cavriglia known as the gateway to the Chianti region from the eastern side making this an excellent base for exploring. For the adventurous this area provides the chance to explore new territory which is full of historic towns and the scenery is dramatic. Podere Giardino sits on the side of the Pratomagno mountain and offers wonderful country views. Ground floor of main house: Large open plan living / dining room and kitchen with dishwasher shower room double bedroom. Outside dining terrace. BBQ. Shared utility room with washing machine. Air-conditioning is available at a charge of 40€ per week payable locally and central heating is available and payable locally if required according to metered usage. Changeover cleaning service and weekly linen change. Breakage deposit of 300€ to be lodged directly with the owner on arrival and refunded on departure. Final cleaning charge of €30 which can be deducted from the breakage deposit.
